Joseph "Joe" Kevin Haeg
August 28, 1955 - May 28, 2013


Joseph Kevin Haeg, 57, of Winona and formerly from Minneapolis, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Sauer Healthcare after a lengthy fight against brain cancer.

Joe was born August 28, 1955 in Minneapolis to Raymond and Audrey (Carpenter) Haeg. He lived in or around the Cities most of his life and moved to Winona in 2011 to be with his fiancée, Ivana Blank. He worked in construction for many years and owned his own company for 17 years. In Winona, he was employed by Tradesmen International. Joe will be greatly missed for his laughter and love of life. He was an avid gardener, cook, and fisherman. He made friends easily and was kind and helpful to all who knew him.

Joe is survived by his parents, Raymond and Audrey Haeg; significant other, Ivana Blank of Winona; children, Kevin and Kellie Haeg; brothers, Ray (Cleo) Haeg and Wayne (Suzy) Haeg; sisters, Debbie (Fred) Kaplan; Sheila (Mike) Hintzen, Carolyn (Bill) Dunne, Sandy (Vic) Otto, Cheryl (Pat) McMullen, Therese (Scott) Cichantek; many nieces and nephews; Ivana’s daughters, Lindsey and Mindy Blank; and mother, Bela Trubacek. He was preceded in death by his sister, Chris Batsch.

Memorial mass will be held on June 8, 2013 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Bloomington followed by burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Richfield. Service times will be announced at a later date.
